What's Up Andre?

6.26.08: As the street date of his new album draws closer, Dre’s been active, doing some radio press for “Can You Deal With It?”. He sat in again with The Sadies at Schuba’s in Chicago, this time for three songs that by all accounts were crisp and vibrant numbers. He and the boys from Ontario have also been continuing work on the tracks they first laid down with Jon Spencer and Matt Vertta Ray last year, as seen in the film. From what we’ve heard, this material resonates with Dre’s greats. Bree at Beauty Bar Las Vegas hosted a screening of Agile, Mobile, Hostile to a house of Andre acolytes and Mr. Williams extends his deep gratitude for their interest and concerns; he’s feeling great and hoping to get out on the road again soon.

NXNE Hello!

We're looking forward to a great screening of the documentary Agile Mobile Hostile, A Year With Andre Williams at this year's NXNE. You can learn more about the film at our website. There are a series of video shorts on the site to whet your whistle for Dre's story. Andre has a new album coming out on Bloodshot Records to follow last year's Pravda release. He's going into the studio in a few weeks with Toronto's favorite son's, The Sadies to finish up some tracks that you can see him working on in the film. Tune in to the official film site often for Dre Updates and new video, and enjoy the film!
