Triumphant Austin Return

Dre returned to Austin a changed man from last year's SXSW events. Strong, healthy and sober, he ripped through killer sets at YardDog and The Continental, with standing-room only crowds and folks turned away at the doors. Here he is getting some BBQ with the boys in the band.


Of course, it wouldn't be SXSW without The Alan Oldies at - what time? - 9:30!!!! and that's AM kids. Only iron-willed men like Mr. Williams can truly appreciate what it takes to rise up on a Saturday at that hour.


And yes, we said jalapeno pancakes, served by lovely bumblebees and sponsored by Batter Blaster.

Chicago!!!

AMH played CIMMfest tonight, capped by a performance by Mr. Williams at the infamous Double Door. Chicago is home; wish we could've attended, hope that you did....

The film is playing Friday night for NoisePop in SF. Tricia and Eric will be there. Dre played some great shows out here last week - Slims in SF and Dragonfly in LA were outstanding. The Man is kickin' ass.

A Brief Andre update - Dre is volunteering in a Chicago area high-school, preparing for cataract surgery this week (so he can keep an eye on the prize) and looking forward to some gigs. There's going to be a record release gig in Chicago on Oct. 3rd at The Double Door. Go Dre Go!
